About me

I am Sherilyn, a 25 year old French woman living in Rotterdam.

Last year, I graduated with a master degree in Global History and International Relations from the Erasmus Rotterdam University. I wrote my master thesis on challenging memories in the public space, drawing a comparison between two case studies located in France and in Spain. This thesis triggered my academic interest about memories of our past and the way they are managed by today’s societies.

Making the connection between my academic research and this notion of visibility, I seek to further research about memories and their impact on contemporary societies. I am dedicating this space to grow as a researcher in the memory field and to encourage everyone reading to include more and more women in the memories of our past.
